Moderator: Julie Eckert

Julie H. Eckert is the Channel Manager of Architecture + Design for the West Coast at Poppin. She has over 15 years of industry experience spanning multiple sectors on both coasts and internationally. She brings her unique brand of industry expertise, market development, in-depth design and construction knowledge to major Western regional markets -focused on inspiring end users to ‘work happy’ through the A+D, Dealerships, Project Management Firm, and Commercial Real Estate influencer communities. She is a Certified Interior Designer (CID) in the great state of California, and earned her BFA in Product Design from the Parson School of Design / New School for Social Research in New York City. She lives in San Francisco.

Panelist: Virginia San Fratello

San Fratello draws, builds, 3D prints, teaches, and writes about architecture and interior design as a cultural endeavor deeply influenced by craft traditions and contemporary technologies. She is a founding partner in the Oakland based make-tank Emerging Objects and she also speculates about the social agency of design, particularly along the borderlands between the USA and Mexico, in her studio RAEL SAN FRATELLO. You can see her drawings, models, and objects in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art and the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum in New York, the Design Museum in London, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

Panelist: Anna Lee

Anna Lee, is a technical co-founder of Lioness, the women-led sexual health startup that built the world’s first and only smart vibrator that improves understanding of sexual pleasure through biofeedback data and science. She is a big advocate in Lioness’s mission to expand research in sexual health and destigmatize female sexuality.

Panelist: Zariah Cameron

Zariah Cameron is a Senior Graphic Design student, at North Carolina A&T State University, pursuing a career in UX Design. She enjoys working on projects that relate to uplifting and showcasing underrepresented minorities. She aims to create design concepts that are meant to impact the community and solve problems that would better people’s lives. She is the founder of the AEI Design Program, an initiative that provides resources and virtual events to prep Black design college students for the industry.

Panelist: Lisa Cholmondeley

Lisa is committed to the idea that design happens at all stages of a project. As a Principal in our San Francisco office, Lisa is passionate about space and design, and is motivated by the challenges of making ideas reality. She has been a key member in the delivery of several large, complex, mixed-use developments in the Middle East. A trained architect, Lisa has spent almost half of her career working on interiors, and strongly advocates for the development of spaces that have a shared story between the exterior and interior experience. Prior to joining the San Francisco office, Lisa’s career at Gensler included experience in London, Doha, and Abu Dhabi. She has taught architectural design at both Howard University and the University of Tennessee. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cornell University, and a Master of Arts degree in History and Theory of Architecture from The Architectural Association.
