This year our Silicon Valley Forums event was a major success! We hosted the event at Veggielution Community Farm at the historic Emma Prusch Park in East San Jose. As the sun was setting over the wisteria covered bio dome, our guests enjoyed bites from the garden made by a local community chef and beverages from the open bar. Attendees mingled outside, enjoying the sounds of peacocks, chickens, roosters, and ducks. Cayce Hill, executive director of Veggielution, welcomed the group and gave a brief history of the park and Veggielution’s mission within the community.
About 60 guests moved into the meeting hall for the panel discussion. This year our chapter’s theme was Wellbeing. Silicon Valley City Center focused on nutrition in the workplace and the community. Our moderator, Richman Neumann, founder, and CEO of Modumate. developed a fabulous agenda for the evening. We are so grateful to our panelists, Cayce Hill, Executive Director Veggielution, Natalie Engels Principal Gensler, Lisa Britz Design Director AP+I and Stephanie Ivanick Global Programming Break Room Manager LinkedIn, all so knowledgeable when it comes to the topic of nutritional wellbeing
A huge thank you to all the guests who attended, our IIDA board and volunteers and to our good friends at Veggielution, we could not have pulled off this event without you.
