Passport to Professionalism took place Friday 10/21 at Gensler Oakland. The evening was both informative and inspirational.
Students from San Jose State to Sacramento State (and in-between) gathered to meet local design professionals and listen to Keynote speaker Seth Meisler of Perkins + Will talk about his pro bono work. Seth’s presentation focused on his recent work with the Tenderloin Museum and the important message of giving back to the community that is part of Perkins + Will’s core value.
The students learned about different design industry professions ranging from residential interior designer, Facilities designer and sales representative to name a few. The event had great turnout and was a great opportunity for students and professionals alike to network and learn from each other. A huge thank you to the members of IIDA East Bay City Center and all of our fantastic volunteers and sponsors who helped with the success of the event!
