This February IIDA presented to over 20 students and professionals who brought their enthusiasm and curiosity to an NCIDQ Info Session. Guests mingled and made connections with each other before settling in for a deep dive into the NCIDQ exam, how to pass it, and why NCIDQ certification matters. San Francisco City Center Professional Development Co-Chairs, Laura Taylor & Adam Newton guided the attendees through some exam FAQs and best practices, imparting their personal experiences along the way.
The attendees ranged from students looking for introductory information, to long established professionals looking to keep their momentum as they take their final test or two. The lively discussion included recommendations from audience members and a “town hall” format where everyone shared experiences, questions, and tips. The group was particularly excited about contributing to the profession of Commercial Interior Design, as the NCIDQ exam recognizes Interior Designers’ impact on health, safety, & welfare in a code-impacted environment.
