Our second award, the IIDA NC Distinguished Achievement Award will be presented to the Ferrari Family.
Mark, Dave and Julie Ferrari are owners and leaders of One Workplace. Opened in 1925 as a bookstore, OWP has worked with the Bay Area business and design community for nearly 100 years. Each Ferrari started with OWP during high school, working on as they studied at Santa Clara University. Today they leverage over 500 employees who share research, experience and resources with architects and designers, contractors, PMs and customers to strengthen our market. The Ferraris have grown OWP beyond office furniture to healthcare, education, construction, and AV/technology markets. They invest in industry experts as teammates who bring knowledge and experience to opportunities, and while uncovering client and partner needs, they continually evolve OWP.
Ferraris encourage intra- and entre-preneurship, promoting startups AMQ, TWO and PAIR. They serve on national and local business and hospital boards, and privately support educational and non-profit institutions. Members of advisory councils and industry communities of practice, they are partners to IIDA, ASID, AIA, IFMA, CORENET, RECON, and more. The Ferrari Family models stewardship by nurturing family, company and community and encourages all OWP team members to do the same.
